About Us
One Laptop, One Loan, One Mission
Hello, business owner! I’m Marsha Thayer, and if your finances currently feel chaotic, disorganized, or completely overwhelming, I want you to know: I get it.
Built on Experience and an Understanding of Business Ownership
For over 15 years, I’ve worked alongside entrepreneurs across multiple industries. Time and again, I watched the same story unfold. Passionate business owners drowning in financial tasks, losing the time they wanted to spend on the work they actually loved. Their frustration became personal to me.
I also learned something along the way: if efficiency is what’s needed in chaos, then change must happen. There’s no getting around it.

In August 2022, armed with a laptop, a QuickBooks account, tenacity, and a $5,000 loan, I launched Keeping The Books NE LLC. My mission is to offer a higher standard of bookkeeping by removing the burden for new and growing businesses throughout New England, where precision meets personalized care. With a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach and genuine client relationships, we make managing your finances seamless and supported.
Clear Books. Practical Answers. Personal Support.
Today, I wake up with real purpose. I’m not just crunching numbers. I’m helping dreams stay alive. We specialize in QuickBooks cleanups, monthly bookkeeping management, and translating those confusing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports into clear, actionable insights you can actually use.
If you’re ready to trade financial chaos for streamlined efficiency, we’re here for you.
